Close windows from the window preview

When I hover an app in the dock, the window previews are great for jumping to a window, but I can't close one from there. I have to switch to the window first, then close it. Could previews get: A close button (×) on each thumbnail, shown on hover like the red traffic light. ⌘W to close the highlighted thumbnail while the preview is open. Middle-click on a thumbnail to close it (optional). Other dock preview tools already do this. It would save a step every time I tidy up windows, especially with apps that open several windows.
